What a fall cleanup includes
Leaves left on a lawn over winter smother the grass and invite snow mold, and you find the damage in April. A proper fall cleanup clears the whole property and sets it up for spring.

- Cutting back perennials and cleaning out beds
- Final mow and edge of the season
- Debris hauled away, or bagged to your village’s rules for curbside pickup

Leaf blower rules we schedule around
- In Wilmette, Glencoe and Highland Park, gas leaf blowers are allowed only in April and October 1–November 30.
- Winnetka and Kenilworth allow them only in April, October and November, with limited hours.
- Evanston bans gas and propane blowers all year.
- Arlington Heights and Park Ridge don’t allow leaves in the street, so we never blow them there.
When to book
Most fall cleanups run late October through November, once most leaves are down. Heavily wooded lots often need two visits. Book by mid-October to get on the route.
Common questions
One visit or two?
Most properties need one visit once the trees are bare. Lots with big oaks or lots of trees usually need two: one mid-season and a final one in late November.
Do you haul leaves away or leave them for the village?
Either. We can haul everything away, or bag and place it to your village’s pickup rules.
Can you aerate and overseed during the same visit?
Yes. Early fall is the best time for it, and pairing it with a cleanup saves a trip.
